Programs Five areas of work, connected by a concern for the conditions of a human life: the freedom to learn and create, access to care, and a world capable of sustaining us.
Arts and Creative Expression We support artists and cultural institutions in Minnesota and around the world, with attention to cultural heritage, freedom of expression, and voices too often left unheard. Climate and Environmental Justice We support community efforts to advance clean energy, protect natural resources, and respond to environmental disruption, with particular attention to those most affected. Education and Opportunity We fund access to learning from early childhood through higher education, with particular attention to communities that have been underserved. Health and Human Flourishing We support accessible, community-led care, including mental health, maternal care, rural clinics in Minnesota, and international public health partnerships. Global Development and Shared Progress We support local leaders and organizations working to reduce poverty, strengthen civic institutions, and shape development within their own communities.
