Press Release
Statement from the Claypool Foundation
The Claypool Foundation is announcing a $3 million commitment to organizations working to protect immigrant communities and uphold human dignity across the state of Minnesota.
We are sickened and deeply disturbed by what we have witnessed in recent months. The aggressive actions carried out by ICE teams across our state have inflicted fear, trauma, and instability on families and neighborhoods that make Minnesota what it is. These actions run counter to the values of decency, fairness, and care for one another that Minnesotans hold dear.
Minnesota is an extraordinary place. It is built on community, mutual responsibility, and the belief that people deserve safety and dignity, regardless of where they come from. What we are seeing now threatens that foundation.
This commitment is our way of standing with those who are being targeted and with the advocates, legal workers, and community organizations pushing back against cruelty with courage and compassion. We will continue to support efforts that defend human rights, keep families together, and ensure that Minnesota remains a place where people are treated with respect.
Silence is not an option. We are committed to contributing meaningfully to this fight.
